
Navin Dookeran joined AIB on June 1, 2015, bringing more than two decades of experience in the insurance industry. Over the course of his career, he has developed deep technical expertise across all major classes of business, including Property, Motor, Pecuniary, Energy, Marine, Liability, Travel, and Personal Accident. He is currently an Executive Director at AIB.
He holds the Advanced Diploma in Insurance (ACII) from the Chartered Insurance Institute (London) and the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) designation from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters. Navin further strengthened his professional foundation through the prestigious Alois Alzheimer Scholarship at Munich Re in Germany, completing an intensive six month programme in insurance, reinsurance, and business principles. In addition, he earned his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Heriot-Watt University in 2011.
Navin has conducted extensive in house training on multiple classes of insurance and has contributed to academic development as a part time lecturer in the Insurance and Risk Management Degree programme at the University of the West Indies. He also previously served as Chairman of the ATTIC Underwriting Committee.
