Ravindu Rodrigo is a seasoned executive leader with over 25 years of international experience across Shipping agency business, Logistics, upstream energy services, and Vessel Chartering. He is recognized for building high-performing companies, developing commercial business verticals, and successfully restructuring organizations to achieve sustainable growth and operational excellence. Ravindu has strengthened his executive expertise through advanced studies at the Australian Maritime College, the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (United Kingdom), and executive education in venture financing at University of Oxford. His academic foundation complements his practical leadership approach in complex, multicultural markets.
He began his career with the McLarens Group before advancing to the Kanoo Group, UAE and subsequently joining the GAC Group in 2005. Throughout his career, he has held multiple management roles across Colombo, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Qatar, Bahrain, and since 2020, the Caribbean region.
Currently, Ravindu oversees multi-company operations across Trinidad, Guyana, and Suriname, leading strategic direction, corporate governance, and commercial performance. His leadership is defined by disciplined execution, stakeholder engagement, and the ability to drive growth in competitive and evolving markets. From 2017 to 2020, he served as Vice Chairman and Executive Board Member of the Bahrain Shipping Association, where he also represented the association in collaboration with the Federation of National Associations of Ship Brokers and Agents (FONASBA), advocating on behalf of national maritime interests. Ravindu’ s breadth of executive insight and strategic acumen positions him as a trusted partner for organizations seeking restructuring, performance turnaround, and accelerated growth.
